A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family on the trails at Bolton Camp in Caledon. It was a beautiful fall day and we had a great time.
It’s become a tradition for Liz and I to go camping every thanksgiving weekend. This year it’s been our only camping trip, though we did get a chance to spend a week away at a secluded cottage which was wonderful. Our trip was made a little more exciting this year with Monty coming along. He’s been camping once before, but this was his first backcountry canoe expedition. His first camping experience ended in disaster when he broke a tooth and we needed to make a trip to the emergency vet. But that’s another story.

Welcome to nickperry.ca. The page is still under construction, but feel free to look around. I’ve posted a portfolio and a few galleries in the Latest Work secton. Soon I will be adding some additional posts in the blog section, where I plan to discuss various aspects of my workflow and approach to photography.
My interest in photography started in highschool. I was lucky to spend a semester on work placement at the local newspaper in my hometown. From there I went on to study photojournalism and news photography in college. I spent more than a decade working in the newspaper industry. Over the last few years my focus has shifted more toward nature, landscape, and wildlife photography.
Check back soon for new work and ramblings about equipment, technique, philosophy and more…
