Tepee Lake – Fall 2020

It’s become a tradition for Liz and I to go camping every thanksgiving weekend. This year it’s been our only camping trip, though we did get a chance to spend a week away at a secluded cottage which was wonderful. Our trip was made a little more exciting this year with Monty coming along. He’s been camping once before, but this was his first backcountry canoe expedition. His first camping experience ended in disaster when he broke a tooth and we needed to make a trip to the emergency vet. But that’s another story.

I always love visiting Algonquin Park. It’s one of my favourite places in the whole world. The beauty of Canadian nature is something to behold. Fall is an especially beautiful time of year to see the park. The colours can be outstanding. Timing wasn’t on our side for fall colours this year as most of the trees had shed their leaves. There were a few flashes of yellow and orange here and there, but we certainly missed the peak. Nevertheless it was a beautiful trip and I hope you enjoy these images.
